Aimless, wandering for guidance.
Tangled in feeling rejected.
Caught in impulse, motivation for validation without weak.
The primal pulsing inside your body fueling.
The search response is fruitless with your toothless fucking will.
So you tap into filth, thrusting out your disgusting id.
More coal for a hopeless flame.
Its filth, its luster, its hateful lust.
Pulling your victims by their arteries, knowing they'll submit to whatever makes them tick.
Ruining the intimacy of generations who follow through to bolster you and your pitiful shape.
Hungry writhing mass sweating out the stress.
Leeching weeping pest placing blame on those who make your nest.
The hole into which you waste their bodies, we will cast you.
To fester, to age and wither away.
Just like you have done to their hearts.
Set up for failure all because you couldn't see outside yourself, just like they did to you.
We're not surprised. Pathetic.
The cycle repeats; you just couldn't break it.
How could you? You were never strong enough.
My already-dead hope is now dust.
Spencer, Heimbach, Kessler. Take out the leaders.
We need them burnt to crisp.
We see their head on a stick.
We'll sleep when they're all dead.
Pull up from the root to kill the weeds.
Take out the shades of cancer.
Bite the bullet. Taste the barrel.
I love the light and shade between Bryan's dirty and Emma's forlorn vocals. There are so many layers to this recording that are driven home through contrast. Plus the riffs are brilliant and get me moving. I can't stop listening to Thou and Emma in general lately. spaceman2250
A foreboding black-doom metal dirge, meditating on a dark world caked in ash, resulting from all the Earth’s nuclear arsenal detonating at once. Bandcamp Album of the Day Jun 14, 2018
The great Oakland atmospheric black metal band Abstracter returns with a punishing new EP pulled from the depths of hell. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 17, 2021
I can't pin this down genre wise but it hits all the right buttons for me. They remind me of Nirvana if Kurt had started a blackened funeral scream band. The riffs are spacious and devastating and the screams are just as destructive and cathartic. It's just the right length too. Beautiful album. eManRenaissanc
